Take a quick look here at the Snow Joe in action:
Now I must say that I am very impressed with this eco friendly and lightweight snow thrower that runs on electricity.
I used regular old outdoor power cords (the green 16/3 ones) and ran the snow joe for two hours straight with no problems.
I didn;t need to add gas or mix oil and gas either and so of course, no smelly fumes.
If you are looking for a new snow thrower, then this one you should look at because it is under $200 seriously. If you are in the market here before winter is over, its not too late to get one for yourself guys.

Organic Lawn Tips For You
I wanted to give you guys some organic lawn care tips tonight and hopefully convince you as to why you should “go green” with your lawn and grass (like growing grass seed). It isn’t really just about the environment (though that is a good thing), it is a lot about the overall health and appearance of the yard in general.
Organic Fertilizers
These are ones that will break down and release nutrients because of heat and not water. You see, old style synthetic fertilizers require that you water them into the lawn in order to get results and have the nitrogen and other nutrients released into the soil where the grass can utilize it.
Organics, however, rely on heat to release and that means the nutrients are released very slowly. This very slow release of nutrients feeds the lawn and helps it grow and thicken up very slowly. The slow growing process means that the lawn can sustain its health long term in light of pressures from disease and insects.
Organic lawn fertilizers are also fool proof and will not burn grass. that makes them better for homeowners who often make mistakes by either putting down too much fertilizer all over, or spilling some of it when they are applying.
If you want to go green with your lawn care, go organic and start this season in 2011. Best of luck !
Gardening Resources For Our Readers
With spring just around the corner, it is time to start planning for the season. Perhaps this is the year to break up that lawn with
colorful gardens, and you are looking for some tips on the best plants for your area, or the best gardening products for your needs, or maybe you just want some advice about when to plant. Resources are available that can help you with all of these and more.
One resource that you have is, of course, the internet. From gardening blogs to plant nursery websites, where you can not only get information, but order the plants themselves, to weekly newsletters from gardening shows, the internet holds a wealth of information that can have you out in the sunshine before the last frost is off the ground. The only problem with it is that you will have to sort the information yourself to find what is relevant to your area. Or check out your local bookstore for a wide array of books on gardening.
For information specific to where you live, check out your County Exchange Service. Or, visit your local home improvement store. They will have a wide variety of the plants you are looking for and the advice as well. Rarer now, but still available, are local plant nurseries. These places specialize in plants that are right for your area, and will definitely have the information you seek. Whatever the resource you choose to use, now is the time to start planning, so that you will be ready at the right moment to get those plants in the ground.
Doing Your Lawn Is Easier Than You Think
Homeowners know how important nutrients are in lawn care. The best lawns are those that receive a balance of nutrients, sun, water and air. There are a number of prepackaged products available to help you supplement the essential elements your soil might be lacking. Most of these items come in bags of ready mixed fertilizer so all you have to do is spread it out across your yard. This is done by using a push style spreader or an attachment for a riding mower.
Creating a healthy yard with lush green grass is only one step in a complete landscaping process. Strategically placed trees, shrubs and gardens also work to make the entire area more visually appealing. There are a number of different ways you can create beautiful landscapes that will be easy to maintain. When setting up a flower garden you can partition off the selected area with stones or bricks. This helps keep the outside grassy area separate from the soil in the flower bed. You can also use a top covering such as wood chips on the soil surrounding your flowers to reduce the formation of weeds.
There are several products available on the market to help control weeds in the garden or yard. Some of these are plant specific and some work on many types of plant life. There are also sprays and powders available to control the amount of pests you have. All of the manufactured products for landscaped yards are available in organic forms for people who are concerned about the environment. With a little bit of patience and attention you can have a yard your neighbors will be envious of.
